With the passage of the May 5 facilities referendum, the district is moving forward with the design and implementation phases of its Next Generation Facilities Plan. This phase will include several input opportunities for students, staff, parents and community members as plans are developed to determine overall layout of building design and how different spaces and areas will relate to each other.
In partnership with Wold Architects and Engineers and Kraus-Anderson Construction (construction management firm, or CM), the district will incorporate stakeholder voices through a thorough and thoughtful engagement process.
In addition, the district is committed to aligning all aspects of the Next Generation Vision presented as part of the 2015 Facility Referendum — Construction, Finance and Educational Program. Continued community engagement and timely School Board updates will include progress on all three aspects of ensuring the implementation of the Next Generation Edina Public Schools Strategic Plan by 2017.
