    Edina Community Education Swimming Program

    We believe that swimming is an important life skill and activity to promote lifelong fitness. Edina Community Education is committed to providing aquatics programming to meet your needs and skill level for participants of all ages.

    We offer a variety of classes focusing on skill development and health/wellness, including:

    • Parent/toddler swim lessons
    • Red Cross Swimming Program
    • Private Lessons
    • Lifeguard Training
    • Diving
    • Water Aerobics
    • And More!

    Youth swimming (Ages 4-18)

    Water Safety Rules

    1. Constantly supervise your child around water
    2. Shower before entering the pool
    3. Listen to the Lifeguards
    4. Never swim alone
    5. No running
    6. No pushing or horseplay
    7. No glass containers allowed in pool area
    8. No diving in shallow water, water must be at least 9 feet deep
    9. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time
    10. Do not swim when thunder or lightening can be seen or heard
    11. Always wear a life jacket when boating
    12. Wear sunscreen while swimming outdoors
    13. Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained
    14. No riding on shoulders(chicken fights)
    15. Learn how to swim
    16. Learn how to perform CPR and First Aid
    17. Call 911 in case of an emergency
